Mr Cian Kennedy is an Orthopaedic Consultant who has being in post since 2019. He is a Registered Specialist in Trauma and Orthopaedic surgery with the Medical Council having completed his Higher Surgical Training with the RCSI in Ireland in 2017. He is member of the IITOS( Irish Institute of Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgery) and IOA ( Irish Orthopaedic Association).

Mr Kennedy graduated in Medicine from University College Cork in 2005. Mr Kennedy has been in full time Training in Orthopaedic Surgery since 2008, with one year intermission to pursue laboratory research leading to being awarded a Master’s degree in Surgery (MCh) in 2011 by National University of Ireland, Galway. He was awarded the RCSI/IITOS Travelling Fellowship in Surgery 2018 and subsequently went on fellowship training to the UK.

In 2018 he spent a year as a fellow at the world renowned Orthopaedic and Musculoskeletal Centre of Excellence Wrightington Orthopaedic Hospital, initially established by Sir John Charnley. It is the main tertiary referral center for complex revision arthroplasty cases in the Northwest of the UK. He subsequently undertook a 6-month senior clinical fellowship at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital, Birmingham focusing on complex primary and revision knee arthroplasty.
